Band Concert & Boy Scout Snow Badge & randomness

Brendon was in a band concert Thursday. And since he is a trumpeter he is towards the back so we never see him. If you look in the first picture and you see the blue and white shoe thats Brendon! and for refrence the legs standing in the front is his teacher/coductor so you can maybe see where he is in the 2nd picture.

A lcoal ski resort had a Boy Scout merit badge day Monday and both boys went. Brendon got his snow sports merit badge and Wesley took his first ever less on skis.
There were a few news stations there filming/interviewing. Here is the one article I found http://www.localnews8.com/Global/story.asp?S=9698393
Brendon on right Wesley on left
Wesley fell and Bren sat down with him.On the way home we saw a mountain with an I on it so the boys kept saying keep your "I" on the mountain.
A random self portrait of Brendon. He just took the camera turned it around and took the picture. Shows how pretty green his eyes are. and conviently doesnt have his upper lip or the cute 'stache that is growing. In this house even the cats are obsessed with trains. Here is Softy watching Thomas on tv.After having stripes (hamster) in plain site for almost a week Softy finally found the cage. He just stands there watching it. He hasnt really made any motion or effort to harm it.

15 dollars

just so ya know that everything we bought was alot more than 15 dollars. He bought the Hamster and a bag of food with the 15. And a very nice mommy type person bought the rest. So I have a hamster cage and bedding, treats, toys, and whatever else. And Wes has a hamster.

But will Wesley read or color his homework? NOOOOOOOOOOO UGH i'm SOOOOOOO tired of trying to get these 2 to read or color. and it's hard to get Max to want to do much else at times.

And Wesley hasnt been working on his spelling work at school. 20 points of each week is just writing his words 10 times each. how freakin hard is that? well obviously to Wesley it's very hard.

Wesley's new pet.

Well Wesley has wanted a pet bunny for years. So when he happened on 15 dollars he wanted a bunny. Well bunny cages are about a hundred dollars for a very basic just metal wire cage. So I asked him if we should look at a smaller animal to start with. So we go to Petco and Petsmart and look around and he falls in love with the hamsters. So after looking at all the hamsters and cages at both stores he picks a dwarf hamster from Petco and the cages are cheaper at petsmart (of course - make me have to go to both stores twice to verify prices and such). Well we get the little guy home and all set up and start searching for the perfect name. Wesley has settled on Stripes. look in the pictures and tell me whats wrong with that name. lol. That is a chewtoy on a regular popsicle stick so you can see how small he really is.

Yeap Stripes only has one stripe. but oh well I guess it works. Max loves the "little guy" and is constantly bothering it. He is very gentle with it just its constant lets play with stripes or "little guy".
It is very hard to take a picture of a tiny ball of fluff that moves 100 miles an hour.

Grandma's visit

Lets see while my mom was here Daniel took the boys to the go-cart track so here are a couple pictures from that.
Then Brendon went snowboarding with school and my mom and I drove up there to watch him for a few runs. He's loves it! Here he is waiting in line for the lift. He's in about the middle. Blue coat with stripes on the arms.
This picture shows where to look on the video for Brendon.
Then today is the last day Mom will be here with the boys out of school. :( :( so we went out to a couple places to take some pictures.
And of course we had to feed the ducks again.
And then just a cute picture of Maximilian sleeping.

Trip to Jackson Hole

Since my mom is in town from Texas we took a day long vacation over to Jackson WY.

Here are some of the pictures from the drive there

Our first destination was a sleigh ride thru the National Elk Refuge. It was really fun and neat to see all the elk. They are not contained this is just thier natural winter habitat and they are protected from hunters so they know they are safe.Look at how symetrical this guy's antlers are. You can barely see the farside ones because they match the closer side. Here he is again so you can see he does have 2 antlersMy mom and Brendon.Pretty prancing elk.Can you see the sleeping indian? His head is to the right, he's laying on his back with his arms folded on his chest. Its cool it even looks as he has a headdress.Max on the sleigh. Wesley is here also in the black hat on the other side of Daniel.CoyoteMax petting one of the horses that pulled our sleigh Our 2nd stop (if you don't count lunch) was at Ripley's Believe it or Not. Such interesting and odd things to be seen there.

Here is a coffin.
Brendon looking in a microscope at a bugHand painted bats. Not sure why anyone would want to touch dead bats much less paint on one. A vampire hunting kit. And of course Max found the one train they had :) its made from 75,000 match sticks

On the way back home we stopped for a pit stop and Daniel, Brendon, and Wesley had icecream. It was -2 and they were eating icecream. BOYS are WEIRD!
